Chakra Healing: A Beginner’s Guide to Self-Healing Techniques that Balance the Chakras

By Margarita Alcantara

Hepsebah Hepplewhite, here!

If you’re into the metaphysical and are looking for ways to increase balance in your body, this one is a good pick!

Margarita Alcantara approaches chakra health very simply and pragmatically.  What I appreciated about this book was how it was organized and presented.  It is simple, easy to follow and she doesn’t confuse the reader with a bunch of trade jargon.  She doesn’t try to show off her knowledge, but seems to present a simple compilation of knowledge for the reader to glean from.  Having said that, she doesn’t come across as a simple-minded mentor, either.  She presents with knowledge and authority.

Ms. Alcantara presents knowledge, formulas and recipes one chakra at a time with simple explanations of what the chakra affects in the body, why it needs to be healthy, and actual metaphysical remedies and recipes that are presented matter-of-factly.  By so doing, she removes a lot of the mysticism that so many other metaphysical practitioners appear to take pride in.

Though the title says this is a beginner’s guide, if a reader were to come in cold, having never read anything on similar material, I would call this more of an intermediate reference guide, though the true beginner would still find great value in it.

Overall, I give this book a strong 3 out of 5 bookmarks!!
